New to the board and just bought my first BMW

Post by theredstrat »

Hi, my name's Jon. Just picked up an 04 R1150R tonight and logged my first 60 miles on a boxer twin on the ride home. I've been riding for 10 years now and come from a Harley and metric sport/touring background. Looking forward to learning about the new ride and meeting some folks.

Live in central Virginia and am always up for a ride.

Thanks guys. Just spent my first quality time with her and loving it. 70 miles after work dodging raindrops never felt so good. Looking forward to getting to know everyone.

Be sure to check the antifreeze levels in both the tank side radiators. That is an oft neglected service.

Hey, I like the way it looks. Think I'll leave my luggage off for a while, see if the girls notice...

Thanks! I think it's pretty sexy sans bags too. Not a huge fan of just the tail bag either so I have a tank bag on the way.

At least it's not a 1200; they need the Canbus fluid changing at regular intervals. :D
