That is cool! Harkens back to the '73 R75/5 that was my first BMW!
Too bad the "tank" is just a facade, it looks like it would add another 10-15 litres to the range!
And I wonder if their seat is any better than the R1200R's original? Or the R75/5's for that matter!

An excellent look. I wonder what the fore-and-aft joint at the top of the tank looks like?
I wonder how many 20-somethings think it's cute?

Jeezus, that's purdy, but that GS conversion takes the cake. For 6k, it's a little steep, but man is it a nice option to have.

Eh... for that money I can buy an actual seventies Beemer and make it awesome. I also think that some of the modern stuff with the "vintage" touches just look wrong.

Beauty must me in the eye of the beholder. No disrespect, but the conversion is ugly beyond description. Almost as ugly as the new "classic" moto guzi model (saw two in a Phoenix shop a couple of week ago).
Not only that, the kit is twice the price of the 1970 R75/5 I picked up a few months ago. Now that is a great looking machine.

Now if someone will make a kit that turns the RR into a Scrambler. High dual pipes, new forks with greater range and a solo seat for starters.

To each their own, I guess. The tank, seat, and rear fender give it a distinct 1980s from behind the Iron Curtain flair, in my opinion.

I wants to like but can't. In my eyes the modern R12R is a very good looking minimalist bike.
