Forever England

Post by Mike UK »

After the tragic and sad events in London this week there was a need to ride out into the countryside to breathe in the fresh summer air, recharge the soul and spend some quiet time with our thoughts of those who are gone.

England is still here, being what it is and always will be; forever England.

Nice pics Mike....the air in that nice quiet country will soon be filled with the roar of Moto Gp...(10 days away)...are you going?

Every day our news papers are filled with pics from the bombings...it's very sad...and glad you're ok.

I just can't believe that people can do this to other innocent people...I hope they rot in hell for doing this.

Mike, just beatiful pictures of England. England is such an amazing country, and the best ally the US could hope for. Together we will beat these fanatics down.

Hey I'm half English you know?! My mom is from a little town called Chichester. I've only been there once, for a month. It was definitely a world apart! I was pretty young when I went, but I do remember that I almost died in the ocean. BIG waves there!

Thanks for your comments guys.

DJ,

I will be missing the MotoGP this year as we have friends staying over this weekend. No doubt will get to watch it on TV.

Doug,

these pictures were taken only 20 miles from Chichester. It's a great place full of history and character. If you ever came over you will find it has hardly changed at all.

Very lush. Looks a lot like where I live in Virginia.

You guys triumphed over Napoleon and the Blitz. The terrorists who think that they can make England fearful obviously do not know the character of the British people. There's a reason the Union Jack waved all over the world, and the nature of seeing things through that makes Americans great came from British parentage.
