I really only considered two bikes. The R1150R and the Bonnie T100. Both are great bikes with good, strong message boards.

Shamelessly, I've even tried to talk my wife into the Bonnie. It is a wonderful bike to ride and I might even ride it more than her.

As you know, I've been a Triumph fan for many a moon and I bet you really like the new ride...she's sure a looker!
I found out today my Speed Triple came in and I'll pick it up Thursday after work...it's going to be a long 2 days!
DJ is afraid I might become a hoon. I told him his concern was way too late.

It's odd, something about that Bonneville is talking to me; I feel
"at home" on it. Sure it's not fast, and the factory suspension SUCKS!,
but it's alive with something that soooo many before me have
experienced and talk about still to this day!
I'm starting to 'get it'.....

Given that I don't have to make house payments for the next two months,
I've got big plans for the money! Unfortunately, the two things I need
most, suspension & seat, is not what I'm addressing.... yet. The big talk
on TriumphRat.com for the Bonnie's is "Ikon" shocks (formerly Koni's?).
If you have any wisdom with how to go, I'd appreciate it. I considered
the lower Ikon's for my short legs, but better that I not ruin the bike.

A guy pulled up along side me this evening, I thought he was crowding
me. He just wanted to comment about the "cool bike!" and how he used
to have a BSA, his brother had a Triumph, "...is THAT a Triumph, where
can I get one?!" And then it happened again at another stop light! I was
dressed all goofy in my half helmet, goggles, and overalls......
you woulda thought folk would stay away from the 'character on the bike';
nope, I guess I'm just "approachable" that way.....:

I'm looking for a personalized license plate ("ELP" as they were known when I worked DMV thirty years ago). I fancy myself (aboard the Bonnie') a possible diminutive version of that bearded fellow.....

Some background bits to flesh it out, Pat.

Hagrid is half giant. Never "graduated" from WIzard's school due to false acfcusation. Now groundskeeper at Hogwarts (the school) and loves wierd (and dangerous) creatures.

Sirius Black was imprisoned, in a hell hole of a wizard's prison Azkaban, for killing Harry Potter's parents. Another false charge, James Potter was his best friend. Killed fighting the bad guys in one of the books. He was also Harry Potter's godfather. Oh yeahj, he could change into a dog as one of his powers.

From your prior posts I could see either character being appropriate.
