Hastily arranged river run with the fellas

I just got through detailing my bike from a 300 mile ride the day before. Mike called at noon and said he would be over in a half hour, that we were joining some guys for lunch at Al the Wop's in Locke, CA along the Delta.

The first stop to pick up a buddy (and have a drink) had three old fat farmer looking guys sitting inside the bar and three HD's out front..... they owned the bikes, and had money. One of them owned the Road Glide. He says he'll be adding a 95" top end for a resulting 200 hp later this winter.

Chicken & mushrooms, a little glass of red wine, and garlic bread (w/peanut butter & jelly). This is a favorite haunt of bikers who know of this little Chines town, Locke. Oh yeah.... it's said to have been protected from multiple fires in the surrounding area by ghosts.... who ALSO haunt the place:

A little further up the road for (another) drink. The Hotel Del Rio is also haunted.... but more amusing than the "girl in blue" is the African Grey in the bar that occasionally blurts out, "Phuck you!" (but never to the locals)

Mike gets a kick outa wearing his colors while aboard his RT,
the local Red & White even asked him of his speaker grills
are actually air conditioning vents (after he told them about
the heated grips, ABS, etc..... Patch Holders are starting to look beyond the stereotype, and more & more are starting to ride BMW's.... honest!

Unbelievable day! Clear Blue skies, still water with shiny white boats filled with fishermen, great roads, and just enough of a chill to warrant the leather jacket zipped to the neck.

Life is good, and it's good to be alive!
