Need Trailer Advice

Post by Slipstream »

Fellow Beemerphiles,
looks like the USAF is moving me from sunny Alabama to less-sunny Ohio.

I'll have to trailer the Roadster up, but don't want to buy/rent an open trailer due to the time of year I'll go (Dec/Jan), since the road salt crews will be out in force.

Anyone have any suggestions on a non-wallet-busting enclosed trailer to use?

Thanks,

You might be able to hire a horse float/trailer cheap...maybe worth checking.

Around here, U Haul has a bunch of options for not much money, and I believe you can do a one way rental, too.

We rented a UHaul trailer that was aluminum, with a ramp, and
3-foot high side walls. The rails were big, and made the tie-down
a cinch. It was a fairly cheap rental for in-town ($25 for 2 days)
Not sure how much a 1-way would set you back.
