Guys, I was away for a bit, at a meeting. Upon returning and catching up on a million emails, etc. I dashed through the Board to check new posts. There was a very informative thread regarding aftermarket exhausts, warranty issues and things like that. I skimmed it, among other posts, with intentions on coming back to it when I had time to read it thoroughly. I have considered an aftermarket exhaust for my GS next season and got the initial balking from my dealer's service manager (the bike is new last season and still under warranty). I wanted to copy some things down from the post so I could deal with my dealer's service manager appropriately, but I can't find the post anywhere.
Anybody know....was it moved to another section? I can't find it in archives or mechanical areas.
There was reference to some law (Magna Carta or something....no wait, that was a different document related to rights.....).
If anyone knows where it is, please do tell. Thanks.

can't find it...
I too looked for it as I was going to post a reply there. I'm pretty sure it was given the big DELETE and explains dallara's one week time out...

I think that baby got thrown out with the bath water.
Doug's "Mini-Me" was in a snit about Dallara and the whole damn thread got zapped.
First "creative", selective zap-edits and thread re-arrangements & revisions when certain panties got in a bunch, now they just vaporize an entire thread that had a lot of *very* useful information to guests, members and paying members.
You newbies want to send your hard earned dough for that? You Members want to send more hard earned dough for that?
I think there are some very good reasons most people don't care for censorship.
Read fast boys & girls, the censors are frantically snipping these news updates out...how do you like that?

Aftermarket
So....I guess asking if one of the moderators who deleted it would be kind enough to find it in the circular file and resurrect at least the parts that some of us might need to use in handling our service managers might be out of the question?

For the warranty side of things, try:
Magnuson Moss Warranty Act.
It basically says that the manufacturer cannot void a warranty for an after market part (like an exhaust) unless the manufacturer can show the failure was related to the aftermarket piece.
