According to manual: full choke when starting up, running 100 - 200 meters with half choke, then choke should be fully closed.
During a cold morning in a rather humid climate in Oslo, Norway (32 - 40 F) engine stopped soon after I closed the choke.
How long should you run with choke under such conditions?

Bjorn, it's not really a choke. It's just a fast idle switch to keep the revs up until warm. You could do the same thing with your throttle but this just makes it easier and smoother.
To answer your question. Just let it stay on full for a while. It won't hurt it. When you come to a stop down the road, you'll notice it idling at about 1500RPMs. Then you can reach over and push it down. Idle should be at 1000 to 1100 RPMs.

Thanks boxer - I will keep it in mind when I take the bike out of the winter storage in April.Boxer wrote:Bjorn, it's not really a choke. It's just a fast idle switch to keep the revs up until warm. You could do the same thing with your throttle but this just makes it easier and smoother.
