Do they still make these?

Post by MesquiteDave »

I've been looking around the net the last couple of days and cant seem to find any tan seats for my '03 R1150R. I was wondering if anyone knew were you could find a set (front and rear) and how much they went for.

On a side note I was thinking of swapping out my headlight assembly for the K1200R light package. I think those lights would look great on my R1150R body.

Thanks guys and gals.

The tan seat (to me more like yellow) should be available from BMW. We received a new '05 silver R1150R with the tan seat. It looked terrible. We switched it to a black/orange Rockster and on that bike it looked good.

Tan Seat

I have an extra tan seat for my R1150R. I bought it with plans to have it recovered in black. However, I found another seat that was already black, so I now have no use for it. Let me know if you are interested.

I saw one on ebay. It's just the front, though. At least it's a start.

Your dealer has the numbers - mine got ordered right after I took delivery - these are the "comfort" or tall seats, front & rear. Terrible on Silver, but look great on Blue, Black, or Piedmont Red.
