I've been lucky to have been riding most every weekend in March, and some of February even. It sure feels good to get some warm temps coming on. ( I'm from north of Seattle )
I bought a set of new Metzeler MeZ4 tires from Ebay last week ( a dealer was clearing them out) , for a screaming deal, and plan to install them when my Metzeler Z6's are worn out ( looks like May or June ).
I checked the date code on the tires and they are '04 and late '03 production, so they aren't too old to be deteriorated from sitting on the shelf.
I know that My Z6's are a nice tire, and that the MeZ4's are going to be a more rounded profile vs. the eliptical profile of the Z6's.
Will I hate the MeZ4's , when I get them on?
Has anyone used the MeZ4's as their "tire of choice" back when they were Metzeler's top Sport touring tire?
feedback is appreciated

I had MeZ4s on my old VFR and they were not confidence-inspiring - especially in the wet. But of course it's a totally different bike with completely different handling characteristics.
I changed to BT020s and they were much nicer.
I think my Rock has BT012s on it now and I feel confident in both wet and dry with these....there's also less urge to ride the bike like I did the Vif' so perhaps it was wrong bike syndrome rather than wrong tyres syndrome for me?
