I believe its edited. But not the worst possible design.
I think I've seen the tank on another bike, I am not even sure if it was a bmw. The dingle looks like a F650-something.
But I think I saw a couple of bmw roadster with the new engine. Coming from the oppsite direction they where zipping past me way to fast to remember any detail. Possibly a hypnosis could help...

underseat exhaust, looks very light, seat is funky and lights look like they're from the GS/Rockster.
Hideous is a word I'd use. The character is gone IMO...

Defiantly a photo shop job......it's one of many floating around.

I hope that magazine illustration is accurate as well.
BMW needs to get on the stick and introduce some real photos!!!
