Looking for BMW ON article....

Post by Sparky »

There was an article in BMW Owners News sometime in the past six months or so on how to replace the locking mechanism in the BMW system cases. I had it but have lost it. Wish I could tell you which issue it was in, but I simply can't remember.

If anyone has access to past copies BMW ON and could either scan and email, copy and fax, or even copy and snailmail it to me, I would greatly appreciate it! I can PM my info and would be willing to reimburse any and all expenses incurred.

And, yes, I broke off one of those damned orange locking tabs by accident (it was nighttime and didn't see that the key had twisted back to the closed position)...

Thanks for the info folks, but from what I remember of the article it's more involved than simply removing and rekeying the lock cylinders (I remember that drilling out some pop rivets is required...).

The article you are looking for is in the November 2005 ON Title: Lock and Load.
I'm not lost, I'm just purposefully wondering around

If you like this article, and think its good. Send an email to the BMW ON editor ([email protected])and tell him the writer did a good job and you want more real content like this, instead of the silly touchy-feely stuff they are printing now.
