New Rockster

Post by cworley5150 »

Hello All,

I am the proud new owner of an 2004 Rockster in the fastest tiger stripe color. This is my first BMW and I love it. I have the system cases and touring shield for it as well. Many more farkles to come. 8)

I have lurked here for a while and thought it was about time to get off my lazy keyster and introduce myself. I have read lots of posts and learned a great deal already. Great forum.

Chris

Chris. Welcome to the forum. Beautiful bike. Wish I had one like it! Hang on a second. I have! 2004 in orange. Yippee!

When I pluck up the courage, I will ask how you posted a pic in the body of the text. Oh; I think I just have done!

Ride safely,

Rog.

interesting, you have the grabrails removed but have the Sozius packet (ie. rear seat and pegs. Looks nice, might get the allan key out myself ;)

Great bike, just like mine.
I found the stock seat to be torturous though. 50 miles was my limit before serious pain set in. And not just my butt if you get my drift.
At stop lights, I'd dig down to adjust the equipment. People would stare.
Get a Sargent, Mayer, Russell, ANYTHING except that stock slab.

Great bike. You're right, tigers are the fastest! I just took mine on a 1000 mile trip through TN, NC, SC and GA. You guys have got to ride "The Dragon" near Deal's Gap, NC!

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.

Riceburner- The bags and mounts were not mounted on the bike when I picked her up. The wife brought the stuff home in the car and I mounted it up later. These pics were taken as soon as I got home. I bought the bike in Lynchburg, Va. The dealership is about 180 miles from home.

Rockiesrider- I have already thought of doing the canectomy just to see what it sounds like. Would also like to have a full size bag on that side. May do that today as a matter of fact.

Renojoe- Nice pics. I love the gap and that whole general area there. I'm going back there in July. There are lots of roads as good and maybe even better than the Dragon around there. Cherohala Skyway is nice too.

I have put 2400 miles on the Rock so far and I am loving more and more. Love the torque. I can get the front to pop up a little by just opening the throttle at the right rpm. Who says that shafties won't wheelie? :P

Look forward to meeeting up with some on this board.
