New kid in town!

Post by perfectstranger »

Hi !!

I just want to introduce myself - my name´s Dirk and I live in Germany. After reading for a while in your forum, I´d like to join!
I hope I can offer some interesting information - or perhaps I can help you guys out with some information!

My backround: After riding american bikes for the last years I thought about something new and tried a Rockster a few month ago - I sold my harley, bought a Rockster!
:-)
If you´re interested have a look on my old bikes:
http://www.wollasgarage.de --> Bikes&More --> BIKESHOW
click on BLASI or click on Starr-Rahmen Natooliv
These were my two last bikes....

Take care!

Welcom aboard dirk....nice bikes

But tell me, like on both bikes I see Japanese front ends, with Toxico multi piston calipers, and dual rotors, it almost looks out of a late model Bandit 1200S. Likewise on the rear all Japanese or aftermarket, so basically other than the motor and the engine craddle it has very little HD. Are these mods common in your country?

BTW, what is the black box for on the left rear of the brown bike?

Please share with us what equipment. mods are available for the BMW oilheads in Germany. 8)

Hi!

You´re right - on both bikes I used japan-parts... due to the fact, that aftermarket rims, forks an brakes are really expensive I used the cheaper way and put all my money in the engine! :-) the brown one had 120 HP at the rear-wheel and the sportster had 92 HP at the rear-wheel...there was no money left for fancy aftermarket-stuff!
It´s really common to use these used parts from jap-bikes - actually the parts are really good - sometimes they are much better than the aftermarketparts sold for lots of money!

the black box is a tool-box....it´s a harley - never leave home without your tool-box! ;-)

For the BMW-bikes are lot´s of aftermarket parts available...check out the following webpages:
http://www.rennkuh.de
http://www.hattech.de
http://www.mv-motorrad.de
http://www.boxerparts.com
http://www.wunderlich.de
http://www.wuedo.de

These are a few of the aftermarket sellers....have a look!

Wow - you did some nice work on those Harleys! Let us know what you are planning on doing to the Rockster.
