I've been riding my motorcycles a lot lately. It's getting into the 70s today in the D.C. area. I had a wonderful time riding into work this morning. With kids out on winter break, there's a lot less traffic on the road. Over the weekend after playing for the wedding I was preparing for with the Hammond organ, I rode my Harley a good bit around Southwest VA.
I'm sure January will get cold given that it's the coldest month of the year, but I'm hoping for more of a Georgia-like winter here in the mid-Atlantic.
I don't care for the culture out in southern Cal, but I can certainly see the appeal of riding in weather like this all year 'round.
A very nice, warm December

I took the bike out for a little county ride Sunday with my sister. She really enjoyed the ride (first time going for a ride so I had to take it easy - I told her I kept a Harley pace).
Great weather; I was tempted to call it a full day of riding but I had too many other things going on to take the full day.
