Lets see a favorite pix of your R1150R

I have waited entirely too long to contribute to this thread! This is not the shot where my bike looks the best or is the cleanest or where the scenery is the most spectacular. This was taken on Highway 250 in Virginia, leaving the Beakster Bash II two years ago and it is my favorite because I left early in the morning and had one of the most amazing three hours of riding I ever had on the Roadster.
Perfectly twisty and cambered road (designed by French army engineers according to MikeCam), perfectly clear weather, light traffic and gorgeous country! A great ride to finish a great weekend!

Hank is using the Wunderlich tankbag (same as mine) has a zipper that allows it to expand ! fits quite a bit in there !
However doesn't stop too many bugs when you are 6'2, all end up on helmet visor

That's a giant tank bag. Either you are really tall or it is a good bug defense system.

Ok...not a beakster, but some of them still turned out ok, I thinks. Except for the damned date and time. Hadnt noticed that it was on this whole trip...

Yeah its muddy. Just got off of a mud road. Still like it.

Sorry bout the ugly backpack. Was gone for 8 days with only that bag and the cases though.

Random shot.
Maybe not the best pics, and these are just a few, but I like them, so what the hell.

Well, here goes my contribution to this post. This picture was taken the morning I left for the 2006 Hungry Mother camping trip. I always make it a point to snap a few pics of when I leave for a ride, and return. This represents my bike as it is now (except I put the sport screen on in the colder months), and my bike is perfectly the way I want it:
K1200Rs mirrors, muffler removal/full sized left case, GPS, Satellite radio, throttlemeister, Sargent seats, clear signal lenses, air temp gauge, tank protectors, heated jacket by Gerbings, and the tankbag that conveniently get's bungied to the rear seat.

As it's pictured, I fit all of my camping gear, clothes and supplies for a long weekend in the cases and tankbag. PERFECT!

I am not very tall 5' 11" and I haven't had the chance to use the tank bag yet so I am unable to report on its bug deflecting capability. I will be touring in Europe with my pettite pillion, who despite being small in stature has large luggage requirements. Will post review of this bag (Wunderlich) in due course.Just-Beeming wrote:Hank
