Seattle International Motorcycle Show
Girl Wonder and I made the annual pilgrimage to the International Motorcycle Show today. I am never convinced that it's worth the price of admission, but it's good to get out and see what the other manufacturers are doing. Here are my observations:
1.) BMW has some of the finest bikes available, and they are really on top of things in the design department.
2.) MV Agusta, Mmmmm.
3.) Suzuki, what the hell have you been smoking? When the Bandit is the best looking bike in your line-up. something is terribly wrong.
4.) Japan: Did you loose your inspiration? All the major Japanese players got big yawns from us.
5.) KTM: I like what you do. Since we ride more dirt than street, you move us.
6.) Ducati: You make a sexy machine, but I want to burn the blueprints for the Monster. Please re-design or retire that damn thing.
7.) Moto Guzzi: The Griso is very cool.
I took pictures of bikes that I found interesting for one reason or another:

And if you aren't interested in that, watch my latest video where I combine guns and southwest cooking into the best redneck games you'll experience west of the missippi:

Nice looking pics Peckhammer, but why only those teaser shots? I would have liked to see the whole bike as well esspecialy the Rooke KTM.
I agree with most things you say about the brands above but think the Monster is restyled enough to keep it interesting and it's still a big seller so why would they bother to mutch.
Personally love the KTM 990 Superduke and Supermotard and when they will be selling those with ABS I probably will think of getting one but now I still prever the R1200R.

Black '06 R1200R
p.s.
"2.) MV Agusta, Mmmmm."
MV Agustas are better finished than any bike I think I've ever experienced from a manufacturer.
"3.) Suzuki, what the hell have you been smoking? When the Bandit is the best looking bike in your line-up. something is terribly wrong."
It's only my own aesthetic judgement but I must agree with your comment about the Suzuki line-up. Style by committee?
"7.) Moto Guzzi: The Griso is very cool."
The Griso's got a great look from the side but does it not appear broad in the beam from the top view? I wonder why they added the tank-side-shrouding above the cylinder heads. Did Moto Guzzi have one of their new V7 retros on hand?

We're talking 'bout cookin' in the BMW forum. The world is done...Boxer wrote:That stuff you baked in the oven. Was that to be stuffed inside the turkey? Or was it a separate dish? Also I didn't catch the kind of hot peppers those were.
Good questions. You could stuff the bird with my recipe. The moisture from the bird works perfectly with this mix. If you are making the stuffing in a pan, you will need to add more broth/water.
The peppers in the stuffing recipe were poblano. The peppers in the turkey glaze were guajillo. An interesting substitute for the guajillos are chipotles. Chipotles have a nice smokey flavor. Any way you slice it, these are real recipes and you will not be disappointed.
Re: Seattle International Motorcycle Show
I went too, when it was in San Mateo CA. Did you see the Suzuki Bee King? Wicked fast with a slightly detuned 'busa engine, but very weird looking...peckhammer wrote:Girl Wonder and I made the annual pilgrimage to the International Motorcycle Show today. ... and the Griso, I've always had a desire to own a Moto Guzzi, and the Griso is a possible. But the muffler's got to go. And the new Griso 8V- Horsepower in the R1200R's territory.

Or a KTM Super Duke, there's a serious rival to the R1200R, which had I seen it first, who knows...
Even stranger looking: the Victory Vision. Talk about a love it or hate it design, of which most seem to hate it.
So many motorcycles, so little garage space...., and cash for that matter.
