I ride a 2001 R1100R with almost 50K on the clock. The springs have sprung on the old girl and it is time to buy some new suspension. What are my options for decent aftermarket products? I'd like something that can be rebuilt down the line as I made the mistake of telling my wife that this is the last bike I will ever need to buy.

R1100R Suspension Options
Hello insightful and helpful BMW riders
I ride a 2001 R1100R with almost 50K on the clock. The springs have sprung on the old girl and it is time to buy some new suspension. What are my options for decent aftermarket products? I'd like something that can be rebuilt down the line as I made the mistake of telling my wife that this is the last bike I will ever need to buy.
I've never worked on the BMW Paralever setup and I don't even know if I only replace the "shock" or do I need to rebuild the fork tubes as well? I am handy with tools and have worked on many bikes so I will be doing this myself but I just don't know the aftermarket products for this bike at all. Any hints will be appreciated.

Re: R1100R Suspension Options
Wilbers makes both front and rear shock absorbers for the R1100R. Wilbers shock are rebuildable. They are less costly compared to Ohlins.
