Rode a K1200LT Today

The only real issue I have with the R1200RT is that it won't "trickle" at very low speeds easily. The R1150 series engines would tick over and provide enough torque to ride at slower than walking pace (brilliant for tight city riding). But the R1200 engine, as standard, has been so perked up for high-speed performance that there's not enough low-rev torque to do it without a lot of clutch slip.boxermania wrote:riceburner +1

Do not, I repeat, do not buy an early K1200LT they had a miriad of first model issues the worse being destruction of the FD (final drive). If you like the K, go after a '05 model or newer....do your search on issues.
