I would like some help.
Did a throttle body sync (or tried). Fast idle switch doesnt increase engine rpm anymore and there's a lot of cable play on the twistgrip and fast idle (maxed out the tensioner screw). Play on the TB's are normal.
Could the problem be at the junction box then?

Re: fast idle
Did you check to see if the end of the throttle cable at the TB is in the cap holder? It seems to be a common problem that the cable gets knocked out of the holder and this increases the idle speed.

Re: fast idle
theo.gutter,
It looks like your 4 freeplay adjustments are adjusted the wrong way.
1-Fast idle lever
2-Throttle grip
3- Left TB cable
4- Right TB cable.
If the L/R TB cable adjusters are all the way down, that is with very few or no threads showing ABOVE the TB bracket, then you need to fix it.
First, fully cycle the fast idle lever (choke) several times to ensure the internal mechanism is moving freely in synch with the lever and is not hanging up. Then give it lots of freeplay at the handlebar end of the cable's adjuster. Second, give the throttle a few turns and then add a lot of freeplay at it's topside adjuster. Now go down to the TB adjusters and set them both at 1 mm freeplay or a little less. Finally, reduce the freeplay at the fast idle lever to minimum and the same for the throttle.
Now perform a TB synch and adjust ONLY the right TB cable to synch the "on throttle" 3,000 RPM level. Next, with the engine running and the steering fully left lock, keep unthreading the fast idle freeplay adjuster (showing more threads) until the idle speeds up. You will be going below zero freeplay for this adjustment so the fast idle lever functions like it is supposed to even in very cold weather. When the idle speed finally increases, turn it inward (less threads showing) until it slows down and go 2 turns further in the same direction. Then turn the steering lock-2-lock confirming the idle speed does not increase. Finally, reduce the throttle cable's freeplay to minimum (near zero) also turning the steering lock-2-lock with the engine idling, confirming no idle speed increase.
You're done! Adjusting the freeplays as described will give you 1,800---2,300 RPM low idle 10 seconds after a cold start -and- the minimal throttle cable freeplay will make shifting easier and smoother, especially if you occasionally shift without the clutch. A good safety test would be to occasionally turn the steering lock-2-lock while idling on the centerstand to make sure the idle speed does not increase. If it does, you need to fix it, as it could cause a dangerous unexpected acceleration during a full steering lock parking lot maneuver at walking speeds.
