Re: 1997 R1100R

Two of the lower bolts on the left side cylinder head cover that tighten the seal on the cylinder head do not tighten any longer consequently I have a leak situation.
I believe that the previous owner of the bike had tightened these two lower bolts too tight
and may have stripped the inner threads on the cylinder head.
Anyone have suggestions as to a remedy?

Drill out the damaged holes and insert helicoils (threaded inserts).
