Hi All,
I picked up my 2001 R1150R last Monday, rode it back with a friend and had a chance to really try it out... After the first week i have racked up 2100km and can't say anything but praises for this machine... I have been riding for 48 years and have to say this bike is the best all round fun and practical bike I've ever ridden... Took the lead through some nice twisties followed by a bunch of sport bikes and without effort lost all of them 5 minutes ahead in a stretch of 10km...
I logged a days riding 3 tank fills rode about 750km.. and the butt still could take some more... I think I can tour with this bike... Not bad for my first week... I'm smiling WOW what a bike...
I'm using it to attend client meetings, commute to a second office and I plan to tour...

I use Photobucket occasionally. A bit of homework/practice is needed to use it. Do not put anything private on it as any one can see into your bucket.

Re: Best Bike Ever
I've had my '02 R a little over 13 years and 56,000 miles, pretty much trouble free from a maintenance view, just the usual fluids, filters, normal consumable / wear items .
It's an all around good performing bike, like a jack of all trades .
I got this bike after 21 years on an airhead 650, it was like going from a WW1 biplane, to an F-15 fighter .
