Olympic Peninsula

Circumstances took me to theOlympic Peninsula this past week, and although our son who lives out there was not home his bike was, and I took advantage of it. The weather could not have been better, I was there four days and it only rained once, but I rode anyway. IMOP this is a great area to own a "dual Sport", being that I was alone I stayed, for the most part, on the blacktopped roads. For the riders who live out that way, I envy you, I did run across a good number of our four legged friends, they seemed to be around every turn, and also a good number in our yard. If you have never been to the Oly Penn. you are really missing a great part of America, our country is filled with beautiful places, and (IMOP) The Oly Penn. is one of them. Den

DJ, Thanks, yes the GS 650 is a nice mach, i think the roads out there are best suited for a Dual Sport, As for those "Inversion Boot thingies" are you referring to America's "pouchless Roo".

arkline, I do get out there every so often, next time I'll send you a PM and maybe we can hook up for a drink and if time allows maybe a ride. Den

No...I may be way off...I was refering to that light blue thing on the right of the table and chairs in pic 5.

Sorry DJ, I was at a loss for what you were referring to, That blue thingie is an exercise chair, (one sits in it and does sit-ups) it is in the upright position, an odd looking thing, but, "very effective". Sorry about that, I thought maybe you were referring to the deer, as i know more that a few ridders down your way, have had the same incounters with kangaroos as we do with deer, (hence- deer hide - kangaroo hide = boots) ( I get confused very easley) Den

That is a great part of the country. I haven't been back in over 20 years. Maybe in the next few years, I'll get to check it out again.
