The sad fact of the matter is...

Post by jonothan »

...that if all you guys were physically together in one room, face to face, you'd all get on just fine. I'd put money on that.

The problem with the internet is that (as has already been said) you cannot gauge inference, or humour, as well as you can in a real conversation.

I don't think anyone should leave. Sure, take time out if you feel so inclined, but don't cut off your nose to spite your face because this board is a great resource and full of really nice people.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, y'all!

J

PS I wasn't going to post but I'd hate to see people leave. I think also that because it's winter (except for you, DJ, and the other Aussies) we've got too much time inside and not enough time doing what we love best, being on our bikes. Hey ho.

+1 on that fact!

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays (whatever holiday you celebrate) and Happy New Year! (Is anyone offended by Happy New Year?)

And what is an "englishster" (from Ernest T on the Andy Griffith show :P ) doing saying ya'll!

I like it. Ya'll have a good holiday.

Happy Christmas and New Year everyone.

How about making a new year's resolution that
Jan 1 we wipe the slate clean of all the negative stuff
of the last few month's and try again.

Let's make 2006 a great year for the site ....and hopefully all who have left will come back.........we miss you.

Cheers
(Still a great site with lots of great people on it and just as importantly, lots of great R1150R and BMW info. I look forward to seeing more new offerings from the spinning propellor in 06).

Enjoy the festivities.

Jonothan....I agree with you...and I wish I could be in the same room with you all guys...I would probably shake your hand..pat you on the back..or punch you in the gut (lightly)...but all with a big smile so you know I just joking around.

It's so easy to take things the wrong way when there's only words to go by...exspecaley when the words are kept short and to the point.

Merry Christmas guys..I will be back..lifes far too short..I hope the others that have taken a short break come back also..and I hope some good comes out of all this.

My big concern is all those comments like 'if you going to leave..just leave'..they make it very hard for those to come back for fear of looking stupid or weak.

DJ - you are one of the most prolific, entertaining, informative, and fun personalities on the board. Your return is a Christmas present to many members of this board. I for one appreciate how lucky it is to have someone of your calibre return to the board.

Merry Christmas, mate!

DJ - good to "see" you! Since most of northern hemisphere types are in winter, you need to keep us supplied with some ride reports!

And I am especially glad to see some positive vibes. We need to keep things going well and hope new members come on board and old ones come back to keep this place the site we all loved.
