Oil oozing out the fill cap

Post by rock712 »

This is a new issue for my Rockster (as of yesterday):

I noticed a some oil in the bolt well and trace it to the fill cap. I cleaned it went on a ride and there it was again.

Am I being uber paranoid? Is it just an O-ring? Do I need the after market thingie?
You think chicks dig guys who look like road-grimed astronauts and have interesting x-rays?

You need to ensure the filler cap, the o-ring AND the socket are absolutely clean of oil before replacing the cap. Otherwise it'll weep.

If it's STILL leaking after you've cleaned them off properly then you may need a new seal - contact the dealer
