Group patch
I also ride a R1200C and that model has a forum called "Chromeheads" for obvious reasons. This group (R1150R) is very active from the volume of posts I have been reading.
I was curious if anyone had thought about an ID patch so when seeing another rider at some other event, we could determine if he/she were also a forum member?

I'm ok with it if someone wants to take the lead. Perhaps getting stickers printed up would be easier/cheaper? I know a guy who can print vinyl full color stickers - its about $2 for a 4" sticker.
I also own a vinyl cutter that can do single layer (single color) vinyl decals. Maybe we can make up simple decals and I wouldnt mind cutting them up. Cost would still be about $2/sticker.

If...
...well if the Roadster tattoo says "Momma" and shows a heart with an arrow through it, I already have mine!
Doug, who owns the rights to the first year Roadster logo and t-shirt design? That would make an excellent patch/sticker.

Most people don't do what's right, they do what's most convenient and then repent

You never know. I used to participate on a board that was mostly for the Suzuki Bandits, Katanas, and DR350 dirt bikes. Their name is Maximum-Suzuki, and they did get in trouble when they had shirts and other items made up using the "Suzuki" name, even though it was tied with "Maximum". It was all free advertising for Suzuki, but they sent their lawyers after the board owner, and he backed down (as I probably would too, not worth the money to try and fight for a hobby.)yjleesvrr wrote:I doubt it, since we aren't making use of any trademarked images. But I'm not a lawyer and don't even play one on TV. Nice list of bikes, BTW.
BMW may be different though.

The law in the US says that you have to defend your trademarks, or
risk them being "diluted" by unauthorized use, so most companies
will send notices to anyone, regardless of intent of use, to show that
they are defending their trademark.
That said, many companies are happy to support hobbyists, provided
that they ask permission BEFORE using the trademark, since
granting permission for use is still considered defense of the trademark.
And no, I'm not a lawyer either.
