Just back from two weeks exploring the Lake District on the Rock.
It's a great bike for twisty mountain roads as well as motorway cruising.
Problems:
1. Stupidly broke the cover off the fuel cap lock
2. Had to replace the tyres - the metzler sporttec tyres which I got it with were a liability in the hills, I now have Conti Road attacks which seem fine.
3. Dropped bike on a steep U-turn (bummer) - no damage (except to ego) crash bars have a small scratch.
4.Sounds like a bag of nails on start up but runs quietly when hot.
One query - sometimes it coughs on tick over, it usually recovers but did stall once. TB's were balanced before I left. Any ideas?

cheap guy approach. first i would check my spark plug wires. make sure they are getting good conatact.
if the wires are sound. i would change spark plugs, and heck thow in some fuel injector cleaner while i'm at the auto parts store. fill the bike with a tank of fresh gas and burn it as fast as you can without getting a speeding ticket.
that last step is not needed but very reccommended.
