How many people here have noticed that the black paint on the engine, or right behind the engine and transmission, particularly on the right side, is faded and beginning to look like crap?
If many...is this a warranty issue? I sort of doubt that, but since I have had the bike, it has sat outside maybe a total of 20-30 days...over a yera and a half. Other than that it is in a heated garage, and last winter, I had it in my dining room for a short spell!
Point it, it shouldnt be fading and it looks like poo.
I know that some of the harsher cleaners or degreasers will gray the black
wrinkle. My bikes out of warranty, maybe someone knows a restoration method?
Mine hasnt been subjected to an cleaner other than soap. I've tried to keep it nice and clean...I am also too leary as to peel off my stripes and black it out. I think that you would be able to see the marks.
Mine's destriped. Sometimes in certain light, I can see where the stripes were. Not too noticeable, but I like the no striped look better. If I was keeping the Rock, I would remove even more color.
