I tried to order some green touch up paint and was told on back order not known when it will come available.

Any cross refernce or help aprreciated.

It looks very similar to the green used on some VW Beetles that may be the way i have to go. :?

Take the bike to an automotive paint store and ask if they can do a computr match for you.

There's a Sherwin-Williams on Babcock St and a PPG paint on Ellis Rd (I think) off Wickham Rd.

Update on Green Rockster Touth-up paint

Post by Green Hornet »

All

i have discoverd that the Citrus Metallic Green on a Rockster is very very similar if not the same color (Cyber Green Metallic) as a VW New Bettle(2000-2003).

This color is readily available thru paint stores or online for touch-up paint.

Hope this helps anyone who needs it.

I tried to order some Orange 2 touch up paint from MaxBMW and they told me that it was no longer available from BMW.

That sucks. There is a nasty paint chip in the instrument cover of mine, and those computer matched paints are never perfect.

Now what the hell do I do?

you could always just repaint the entire cowl. I actually got flat black rustoleum (spray paint), masked it off and reshot it in my garage. If you want to stay orange (or green) you may be better off taking it to an auto body place with as close a match as you can get and have them reshoot it.

I finally got my "so called" VW Beetle Cyber Green touch up paint.

It is close but no cigar. I might do for very small out of the way touh up. BUT not for any thing obvious.

Thought i was on to something but not realy.

Of course each time you have paint mixed it is different. This could be the color just got a off mix.

If I hold my orange eyebrow fairing next to the oil cooler covers the difference in colour is quite startling. :o

But on the bike and away from each other they look identical.

If you find a close match and spray the entire piece you won't notice a difference, but use it to touch up a chip and it will really stand out.
