It all depends on what your friend will do with the money. If he's sellling it to buy a Harley, I would offer him about $4900. If he's sellling it to buy an orange 2006 KTM 950 Adventure, I would offer him at least $9000.

I repaired some scratches to my valve covers using Metal Bondo and some auto spray paint. Duplicolor DSGM340 is a nearly perfect match with BMW silver paint used on the magnesium valve covers.

Odyssey battery install

I installed my new Odyssey PC680 battery last night and it took a lot longer than it should have. Rather than completely remove the tank, I just removed all the fasteners and propped it up with a piece of 2x4 (I didn't want to mess with the fuel-line disconnects). I also installed the optional $5.00...

Thanks. All of the lights turn on and I can hear the servos and fuel pump. I just won't turn over. It's probably the battery. I just wanted to be sure that an ABS diag faillure won't prevent the engine from starting over.

Bike won't start, ABS warning light blinking

After taking a longish (300 mi) ride on Sunday, my '04 R1150R wouldn't start this morning. After the initial diags, the general warning light stayed off, but the ABS light continued to blink (I believe at 1Hz). My question is: if the battery was okay, should the engine have cranked over--or will an ...

Check out Wickers.com. I like their shirts because you can get them in different weights for different riding temperatures. Their stuff is reasonably priced and they always seem to be running a special.

Sargent seats

If anyone's interested, Sargent seats are on sale at Sandhills Powersports. I just picked one up for $499. It looks like the only model they sell is the Carbon F/X with black trim. UPS ground shipping was free too.

Their website is http://www.sandhillspowersports.com.

I have the same problem with the touring screen. The Honda spay polish seemd to work best--but it would eventually fog up again. I'm just going to replace it with a Cee Bailey's tinted sceen. Thanks for the tip on the well nuts. I guess it's a good idea to keep a few of the well nuts and allen screw...

Cee Bailey's sport shield

Does anyone have pics of the Cee Bailey's sport shield mounted on an R1150R? The Cee Bailey's website only has a few pics of their taller windshields. I recently installed a BMW Sport Shield but had to return it since the mounting holes were misaligned (it seems this is a known issue with the sport ...
