Remus COMPLETE exhuast system(???)
Remus claims quite a significant increase in horsepower/torque with their complete system (as opposed to a simple slip-on can). As I have been out of it with regard to BMW for years now, is there anybody here who has been willing to part with the money for a complete system and offer some feedback?

Re: R1200R - Lowered version
5' 2" former R1150R owner here..... I rode a demo 1200R with the lower saddle yesterday; the new 1200 is soooo much easier to reach the ground from due to it's narrow "low" seat, and the 1200's (seemingly) narrower frame. Not bad!!! (They offered me five grand for my '02 Mille, and an...

Re: What grade gasoline are you using?
Gas, as much as I use, regardless of price, grade, or availability..... is expensive. That having been said, I haven't paid much attention for years now to what one station charges for THEIR gas as opposed to what a neighboring station charges. It is after all.... expensive. So I stick the cheaper g...

Re: too tall... for mini me
Been a long time since I last visited my favorite site. I've since had a Triumph ST, two Bonnevilles, and an FZ1 since selling my much loved '01Roadster. Memories linger.... of friends, of bikes, and of places seen from aboard my R1150Ra. I recently bought another bike, and it may well be the single...

Though still funky looking, I look better in them since losing 55 pounds from when this little video was taken. I'm not quite sure I...

Mark, I posted in the R1200R forum with some questions..... I'm kinda hot 'bout getting back into the fold. If I could stumble onto one heck of a 'deal' for either a Rockster or Edition 80 (sans ABS), I could be joining y'all sooner. But that R1200R has REALLY captured my heart. 'hirsty', sho' you r...

I watched it all unfold in front of me.....
Yesterday I got a chance to belly up to a big plate of Mexican food and a Negro Modelo. My buddy and I returned to the car, snapped on the seat belts, fired her up, and watched the drama unfold in front of us. I hadn't pulled out of my parking space when I watched two City Motor Cops approach the in...

Former 1150 guy seeks 1200 info....
A few years ago I logged a little under 60,000 miles on a Roadster with ABS. I loved it, and with the growing possibility of earning more money in my (near) future.... I want to consider the 1200 w/ABS. You guys have been in the loop, while I've been busy doing Triumphs (Sprint RS & Bonnevilles)...

Ain't no thang.... I don't mind the image hanging out. I don't know as I look any better though, I DO (kinda) have less gravity hanging 'round the jowls now. It's been there for a while (and it's STILL there???). Maybe I'll be back with a new Beemer beneath me when I start making the big bucks after...

1) What is the sound that our horns make? The sound a cartoon Road Runner made as it smiled out at us from the TV while we sat with a bowl of Frosted Flakes on the living room floor. 2) What piece of machinery does the sound of our engine most closely resemble? (stock mufflers on of course...) Yep.....

In 2000, I bought an XL1200S and logged on a quick 38,000 miles. Though I had my money down on a FLHT-S, fell in love with the Dyna Glide Sport, I ended up buying a much loved 2001 R1150Ra.... and put a quick 58,000 miles on it. Then I quit riding for..... a couple months. I fell into a great deal o...

I tried my buddy's XL on..... it was tight like a good leather jacket a GP racer might wear, AND I could zip it up over my belly (!). It felt good. But I decided to listen to reason. I normally buy XXL, why should THIS jacket differ? And though my intent is to wear this jacket in HOT weather in exce...
