Thanks for the reply. I thought it had to do with something shrinking over the winter and then re-expanding again once the lines were in use.
Thanks again.

Fuel leaking
Good morning all. Just took my Rock out of storage (underground parking spot) yesterday. Reinstalled my battery. Installed new air filter. Bike started up. Let it run for a bit and then noticed fuel dripping down the fuel lines (quick connects). Also noticed fuel leaking from underneath the tank. I ...

Sorry to hear that dude. That bites!!! You were probably on your way to work too? Curious to know what the cost will be for new clutch. My '03 Rock has difficulty going into 2nd or 1st gear when gearing down, at times. I pull the clutch lever in but it won't go down into 1st or 2nd sometimes, not of...

loud metal to metal cracking noise
Anybody with a Rock have this problem? When stopped at a light I'll 'blip' the trottle real quick and more often that not, I'll here a loud cracking sound (like metal to metal) coming from the cylinder. Sounds like it's coming from the right cylinder. I noticed if I open up the throttle smoothly and...

idle speed
Can anyone advise as to what the normal idle speed for the Rockster is at normal riding temperature? Mine idle's at around 800-900rpm, but I find that the bike runs smoother at 1100rpm when I leave the 'cold start choke lever' (located on left side of handle-bar) in the up position. Appreciated, T :D

oil pressure light
Thanks for your help riceburner.
Found a crack in the protective plastic that coats the wire coming out of the oil pressure sensor.
Invested 50cents and bought some electrical tape. Bike is back to normal.
Thanks again for the info. It was a simple fix.

oil pressure light stays illuminated
New to this message board, but have been reading it for awhile. I have an '03 Rockster. Washed it a week ago and now the oil pressure light will not shut off. It stays on really bright and sometimes dim getting brighter as I accelerate. Brought it to BMW dealer; oil pressure test o.k.; oil level o.k...
