Had a Triumph Thunderbird triple and if you're looking at ride comparison then go BMW. The slickness of the bimmer toasts the hardened ride of the Triumph IMO. Everyone has their likes/dislikes, if you do "test ride" then take it for a WORTHY ride, not a ten minute spin. You'll see what I'...

Brake Failure light ?

Bike has been sitting for a bit with the battery tender to keep the juice, I fired it up today and the "Brake Failure" light was flashing. Anyone know why this would happen when it was not occurring before I parked it? Is it just a reset thing or ?? I'm puzzled. ( Oh yes, it has ABS)

AHHAAA! I found it, based on the angle and shape of the shield, I believe that it is the Wunderlich Classic Roadster Fairing! Thanks for the input from all. The givi's look very similar.

The black R1150 in the POW has a very nice windscreen! Who makes that and where can I get one? I miss riding sooooo much, roads are crappy here in CT. so I'm gonna spend more moolah on her as she waits patiently in my garage. For those of you in warmer climates with no salt, sand, snow and ice...

Here's one way of looking at "Loud Pipes Save Lives" My experience in driving emergency vehicles for over 21 years shows that most people don't even hear the LOUDEST of sirens, tack on flashing lights and wig wag headlights and guess what...still nothing. Part of the problem is that most o...

Just had a similar experience riding home behind this tiny Toyota pickup ala 1980's, with the truck bed over-loaded with a large heap of junk, probably six feet high. I mean everything, tires, rolled up fencing, wood, you name it. This thing was so poorly loaded it was listing like the Titanic! On t...

Chilly Morning Commute- Firstgear Overpants

Been riding all week to work at 0530 hours, but today was the first day it dipped down to 30-30 degrees( F) here in Connecticut. I was really impressed with the Firstgear HT Overpants I bought! Man, these things are TOASTY warm and comfy! I've never been a cold weather rider, but this year I'm givin...

Just wanted to get an idea how many of you are using a full synthetic oil and how often you do the oil changes as a result. Thanks.

6000 Mile service- Can I do it myself?

Just want to know what is included in the 6,000 mile service and if I can get away with doing it myself. I've rebuilt a Honda before and have decent mechanical skills, always looking for new tools (drool) though. :)
Thanks all....safe riding to everyone!

Municpalities have to have and insurance carrier here in CT. but that's our state. I would definitely look into small claims court and consult with an attorney (YUKK!) for other options before you bite the bullet yourself. That law is total B.S.!!! Sovereign Immunity ...what a joke!

Cagers, cell phones and looking for CD's

So, I had a wonderful ride throught Northwestern CT. yesterday, perfect temps. Beautiful roads, no traffic and get about 5 miles from home after a three hour tour. Sitting at a traffic light behind a lady in a Mits. Eclipse, she's about 60 years old, I see her rolling backwards as she's fiddling aro...
