Thought I'd throw out a few pics of a black non carbon fiber hugger on the R1200r. I like it better than I thought I would. Was hoping it would help keep the underside clean and I think it will work. What do you all think? Excuse the layer of dust

Yes,that is Pilot Roads on the bike. They have little over 2000 miles on them. Seem to handle good but I'm not a real knee dragger, so not the best authority on that. Ride feels smooth and quiet as I would think this brand would perform like.

Well, you're closer than I am to the store that the hugger came from. I ordered it from Nippynormans in England http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.as ... &mitem=107
The install was pretty easy; had to loosen the tire to get enough room to get on one of the screws. It is a close fit next to the shock protector but no problem. The hugger was thought out and designed well I think and half the price of a carbon fiber one. Service at Nippy was good. They "dispatched it" as they said the next day and I received it on the 10th day. Not to bad for normal shipping to the states from Great Britian.

I fitted a hugger from Nippy Normans and had to cut some of the material from the shock dust/muck guard. When I went over a bump in the road there was a hell of a squeaking sort of noise.

I like the looks of the Nippy Normans black hugger which I have as well. There was no problem installing them or any mods necessary with the Ohlins rear shock.

You've probably already been asked about this BUT, how do you like the Ohlins?
Your huggers look great. They extend over the tire a bit more than my Ilumberger. Quite frankly I am not crazy about the carbon fiber look, but I don't notice it anymore, anyway. . .
(I asked for the fiberglass model for Christmas because it's so much cheaper and equally functional but Santa brought the Ilmberger. )
