All in all the rider makes the bike. After riding a few Rocksters I think I could push them farther then any bike I have ridden BMW wise. Wide bars make me feel at home, just not comfy for the old body.

Thanks for a GREAT time Rob and Ann! Tire pressure may have had some effect
. That said my body position may not be optimal, as it shows I still ride like I am on a dirt bike.

Great photos OU812.
Rob, not trying to preach to the choir, but here are my $.02.
I often have an 1/8 inch of chicken strip riding public roads. Learn to help the bike by loading the inside peg and moving your butt to the inside too. Couple that with a little look where you want to go and a relaxed arm/grip and you will feel like you have free steering. You don't have to drag a knee to get huge benefits from proper/better body position and you will have a little extra tread in reserve as your bike position won't be as extreme for the same corner speed. Don't worry about trying to use up a tire you don't feel like gives you good feed back, trust is subjective and some tires don't do it for every rider. Maybe do a track class where you can get more comfortable in a much safer controlled environment, lots of fun too.
