My 2004 hesitates real bad at about ~1800-2400 rpm and then is fine through 5000+ rpm. Any ideas what it might be? I emptied out last years gas, filled it with new premium (92 Octane) and added "Seafoam". I've opened the air box and the filter is a little dirty, but not bad. Even tried revving the engine with the box open and it still hesitated. It also cold starts hard...I have to start it 4-5 times be for it stays and need to let it idle for about 5 minutes before I can do anything. Don't know if its related to the above or not.
Thanks, Tony

Check the coils. Sounds a lot like mine did until the bike would not start at all.

I know this has been covered elsewhere but can you point me to an idiot's guide to do this. I have done just about everything else. Thanks in advance.tkm wrote:Check the coils. Sounds a lot like mine did until the bike would not start at all.

Do the coils have anything to do with the hesitation or are they just related to the hard start?
