It's been GRAND, but tomorrow afternoon I must take my leave of you all. I am turning Betty over to the dealer and riding away on a new ST1300. After my brief 12 years of summer touring, it seems time to make the move to a bike more dedicated to touring, as that is 90% of my miles. The R has served me quite well in that regard, but it's time.
I have benefitted immensely, as we all have here on this board, from the wisdom of all of you, but of course especially that of CycleRob and Beemeridian. Thank you both so much.
Rob, yesterday I finally put in the cam chain tensioner (92300 miles). It took me an hour, and I did not remove the throttle body, as per your suggestion. The last in a long line of how to's, but only a master such as yourself could do that job in ten minutes
I will have a few things to sell, check the for sale pages in a few days for hard bags, throttlemeister, Techclusion TFI, a windshield and maybe one or two other things, guaranteed great prices!
So long, and thanks for all the fish.
