Re: exhaust wraps
I have full DEI titanium exhaust wrap on my Rockster. Looks cool and does keep the heat inside the pipes.

We got 3" of snow yesterday up here in NH's north country. The snow has since melted, but the roads look like a beach with all the sand they use up here

Re: Just bought a basketcase Rockster
For the headlight low beam I would strongly suggest dropping in an HID kit. I used a factory Hella ballast/ignitor from an Audi A6 that I had laying around and a high quality 4500K H1 HID bulb (Morimoto 35W) from theretrofitsource.com (No affiliation). I used a D2S --> AMP adapter so I could run the...

You'll be very satisfied with the AF-XiED. I run on setting 8 IIRC, nice smooth power from idle to the rev limiter.

Re: Engine cylinder Technical Question
Just a quick question for clarification's sake, when you're referring to the R1200 specs is it the oilhead or camhead engine? FYI the 1150R/GS compression ratio is 10.3:1, the 1150RT/RS compression ratio is 11.3:1, the R1200C ratio is 10.0:1 with the only real difference being pistons (flat vs domed...

Re: Dyno results
Unfortunately no. This is the first time it's been on the dyno. All of the mods have been added over the last 2 years. SJ BMW dynoed a stock R1150R and got 77hp and 70tq at the wheels. If I was using that for comparison I picked up 9hp and 1tq, but with a much better curve. http://www.sjbmw.com/_ima...

I've got a Leo Vince SBK slip on installed on mine. Yes it's the same part as a normal R1150R. I lasted about 2 weeks before I broke down and decided to ditch the cat.

I mount my GoPro camera right where you're describing on the right fork leg just over the fender. Works great.

Re: New member, just got a r1150r, exhaust question
I've got a Leo Vince SBK on my bike with a modified 2 Bro's y-pipe on my Rock. Of course I've also got some other goodies installed as well (Techlusion, Rocket Sprockets, InDuct, RS intake ducts, Brisk plugs) and it runs beautifully. Is it ideal? Probably not, but it pulls from 3K-Redline without le...

Re: Gimbel fairing
Are you looking at the headlight fairing or the belly pan? I've got a Gimbel bellypan on my 1150R, it did fit, but I had to tweak the mounting hardware a bit to get it exactly to my liking. Either way shipping here to the US will take a while, it took nearly 3 months to get my bellypan from when I p...

Re: looking by buy 2003 R1150R
I paid $5700 about a year ago for my 05' Rockster which had 15K on it. The bike was in pristine condition and had excellent maintenance history. Of course I probably have north of $10K into it now with all the farkles I've added. But it still puts a smile on my face every time I ride it and I love t...

Re: Rocket Sprocket Review
Hey Lennie, I'll throw my 2 cents worth in. I put your sprockets in a few months ago along with your InDuct. The install took a few hours, maybe 2 hours on the left side and 30 mins on the right side (learning curve). But I won't be taking these things out anytime soon  . Granted I've got q...

I bought mine from the fellow that created it over in ADVrider.com, here's a link to his thread: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=701625 . The downside is unfortunately he's had some personal issues and does not currently have any for sale. He's stated he may begin selling the units again...
