Thanks for the info. I should have walked downstairs and looked at my own heat shield before typing! Eh, don't feel bad... ... you should have seen my reaction when I rode my new bike the 200miles home from the dealer, only to discover that the exhaust had a big dent in it! ' Grrr!!!! Then I...

Xaque, I did a little research and this is what I came up with. The causes of anaphylaxis are divided into two major groups: ... Non-IgE mediated : These reactions, the so called "anaphylactoid" reactions, are similar to those of true anaphylaxis, but do not require an IgE immune reaction...

You will need the allen wrench from the bike's tool kit that is appropriate for the screws around the fuel tank filler hole thingy... I forget exactly what size they are. And you will also need a small pair of pliars and a philips screw driver for installing the connector onto the bottom of the tank...

Good questions! How about a crash course in the subject... shall we? Firstly, Benadryl and the "pen" of epinephrine (EpiPen) work in two different ways. To better understand their actions, lets review the reaction a body has to a bee sting. In it's most basic form, an allergic reaction is ...

I tried various Magnetic tank bags, but because of the shape of the tank, none of them felt very secure (to me).

And the SW Motech bags do not touch the tank anywhere... great if you are concerned about scratches.

It can be tough swinging your leg up and over, but I got used to finding a new method when I had my bike loaded up for a trip. The tail bag looks nice... I opted for a hard GIVI top case. I can leave it locked on the bike and park, not having to worry 'bout someone swiping my stuff (I ditched all my...

Mate, you are in luck! I have just chased up the same thing for my rockster. The luggage plate from the K1200GT (old model) with BMW's small (31 litre) top box fit straight onto the R1150R rear rack. Remember to order the lock kit and BMW touring badge for the top box if you go that way. Are you ta...

The way that it was explained to me:

The reason why the pipes blue so fast is because they are single walled. Your other bikes, with nice shiny pipes have double walls.

So although our pipes may be blue, they are half (aprox) the weight of the others!

I wanted to add this to this post for future reference: I have both the "trip" and the "engage" The trip is tiny. I use it when I'm out cruising with some German automobile folks and I don't have my system cases on my bike. It's big enough for a wallet, cell phone, and the anonym...

R1150R Rider down... my thoughts are with him.

Hi all... Two days ago a fellow Roadster rider was involved in an accident in my area. I work for a local Public Safety agency and it appears that he was attempting to pass a station wagon when it turned left infront of him. It was the middle of the day, and overcast with a very heavy rain. I am wit...
