Re: Paint Fade...
How many people here have noticed that the black paint on the engine, or right behind the engine and transmission, particularly on the right side, is faded and beginning to look like crap? If many...is this a warranty issue? I sort of doubt that, but since I have had the bike, it has sat outside ma...

Its wierd how no ones seems to like the racing style reservoirs, they look similar to the brembo gold line ones on my S4r. Usually people want these and not the coffin or combined cylinder/reservoir u get on the cheaper monster/ older r1150r. I think they look more racy and smaller to :D a) you do ...

Re: Rattle in tank
Anyone out there have a rattle in or under the tank? Spoke to the dealer who said that it was common for the fuel guage float to rattle and that it was not an easy fix! Anyone else heard of this or should I get under the tank for a look-see?? :? Dealer had done some work on the brakes and replaced ...

Re: PAINT
Here I go again. The tranny runs a lot hotter than the rear drive housing, especially with the CAT right under it. Hot & cold cycles can soften/weaken most surfaces and finishes and especially if exposed to dirt you can get dulling. I've used KLASSE for 2 decades with no dulling or peeling on h...

BTW, I know it's each to his [or her] own but polishing the mat parts of a Rockster should be illegal IMHO. I agree, but it wasn't my job. However, my bike (the shiny one) was stolen a month ago; last friday I got my new one, which is as it should be: flat black. I like the flat one better! :...

Re: Fuel Leak
Any know why my high pressure line would leak when I first start my bike and then stop leaking after it runs? Anything to do with the quick disconnect? don't know, but mine had a leake too. It was cold, freezing, and when my bike got warm, it stopped. something with the connections. Can't help you.
