There is an accessory socket on the left side, but the gloves and jacket are going to be too much of an amp draw for this. I just wired the harness that comes with any Gerbing directly to the battery. I leave the plug under the seat and just hang it out the under the edge of the seat when I need it.

So the regular screen is Z2405, and the tall screen will be Z2406

What wasn't to your liking with this screen?

There's a couple of threads on the screens, but I think the general opinion (mine included) is that the BMW touring screen is not worth the $$$. I only used mine once.

For the power I just wired it to the battery with the Garmin supplied connector/cable. I was able to snake it under the tank without removing it, but the BWM connection sounds like the better way to go. I used a simple RAM mount with the U-bolt mounted dead center on the bars. Works well for me, but you are a little limited on which tank bags work with this location. I just installed the Bags connection Daypack II with the gas cap ring. Love this mounting system!
